ARC’s claims management begins with
aggressive and early reporting of all incidents. We encourage
ARC insureds to be pro-active in responding to accidents and
other incidents and to report them as quickly as possible. It
is ARC’s philosophy that with attention to detail, a quick
response and compassionate concern, most incidents can be
prevented from becoming claims.
We believe that ARC’s primary target
market - senior housing facilities- are among the safest
buildings in the habitational industry.
Some of the factors that make these
facilities outstanding risks are:
· Firm
oversight from HUD through REAC physical inspections so that
buildings can not fall into disrepair
· Federal
funding for construction insures buildings are built to spec
· Financial
and managerial oversight from HUD
· Sponsors
are generally religious or civic organizations dedicated to
protecting their elderly residents
· Residents
who pay only 30% of their income in rent and often have waited
many years for a vacancy are less likely to sue
ARC has an in-house Safety Education &
Risk Management Department to work with individual properties
and sponsors to review their procedures, conduct safety audits
and inspections and develop educational programs and handouts
for residents.
These programs are available to both
our non-profit insureds as well as our for-profit insureds.
