One of the
most important events ARC sponsors each year is our Annual
Agent’s Retreat & Celebration. It is a time for ARC staff and
agency partners to spend time together discussing the past year,
planning the next year, catching up on the trends in the
industry and generally having a good time.
On January 11-13, 2005 ARC
brought together 20 agents representing our major agency
partners together to celebrate ARC’s very successful first year
and to thank our agents for all of their hard work.
We began our time together with a
dinner cruise on the Intercoastal. With great food and lots of
mansions to gawk at it was a wonderful way to get aquatinted
with each other.
The educational sessions began
with presentations by Kris Cook, Executive Director of the
National Affordable Housing Management Association and Janegale
Boyd, President Florida Association of Homes & Services for the
Aging discussing the affordable and low-income habitational
market. Mr. Rodrigues then made a very enlightening
presentation on the state of the insurance/reinsurance market.

The afternoon was spent on the
golf course for some and the beach for others not so
adventurous.
The final day of the event began
with a lively discussion focused on additional ways to market
the ARC Senior Pro Program and lunch at the pool. The event was
designed as a "Thank You" to the Agents who made ARC’s first
year such a success and to introduce them to the Associations
serving affordable housing.
Needless to say, A Good Time Was
Had By All and plans are underway for next year.
